Fire-breathing dragons were a terrible race first spawned during the First age of middle-earth. Although themselves flightless they are the ancestors of all fire-breathing worms including the great winged dragons like Smaug the golden (also available). The most famous of the flightless fire dragons in the First age was Glaurung, father of fire-dragons, who was unleashed during the wars in Beleriand. The Fire Dragon usually possess great intelligence and cunning and versed in the subtle reptilian magic.
